2025 Law Enforcement Appreciation Class

Big changes for the 2025 Law Enforcement Appreciation Class! We are excited to have Nick Young from Velox Training Group and Joel Park from Joel Park Training joining us again this year. They’ll be co-teaching a joint pistol and rifle practical performance course at the event.
We will have Mrs. Seligs Sweet and Savory back with their incredible barbecue style lunch as well as other vendors and sponsors such as Grindstone Jiu Jitsu, Monsoon Tactical and more.
Every attendee will receive the training course, catered BBQ lunch, the chance to win and compete in giveaways, a chance to compete in a competitive practical shooting stage, a PVC patch, time to meet and purchase gear from our vendors and more.
What’s the best part? You get to train alongside other officers who are serious about being a better shooter and being a better officer.
Pistol Skills Solutions

In each of the five Pistol Skills Solutions courses, we breakdown and isolate certain skills to work on. We isolate a different set of fundamentals in each course and spend the entire time working on those fundamentals. If you are a newer shooter and would like a class that has the same feel as a private lesson, this is the class for you. Each student gets one-on-one instruction and attention from the instructors. If you are an experienced shooter and just need to fix a few things, Pistol Skills Solutions courses are for you. They do not have to be taken in sequential order.
Limit of 12 students to make sure each person gets personalized attention and one-on-one instruction.
Pistol and Rifle Applications- 2-Day Course

Come out and train with MP47 for a weekend! The course will include work in both the pistol and rifle platforms. If you want to be a better shooter and you're willing to put in the work, get signed up for this course. This class will include curriculum from our Pistol 1, Pistol 2 and Rifle 1 courses. Get it all done in one weekend!
The course is designed for all shooters including newbies, mid-level students and advanced shooters. Purposeful rounds will be sent down range!

Pistol 1

Pistol 1 will focus on getting students to understand how vision and grip affect their shooting. This class will have a heavy emphasis on drills that will help shooters understand what’s going on with their shooting. Drills that assess grip, vision, firing hand tension and more will be introduced. This class will also cover drawing the pistol efficiently, confirmation levels, one-handed shooting and more.
Pistol 2

This course is the follow-up to Pistol 1. This course will have a heavy emphasis on movement, how to call your shots, reloading, entering and exiting shooting positions, multiple target engagements and more. The last part of this course will include competition stages. You must have taken and completed Pistol 1 to take Pistol 2 or be able to provide documentation of other training courses completed if requested. Even if you have not taken Pistol 1, you can still be eligible to take Pistol 2 based on your experience and/or training.
Rifle 1

Our Rifle 1 course provides students with a systematic approach to mastering their skills with a carbine rifle. The course will include a thorough review of nomenclature, the functions and operations of a rifle, threat identification, multiple target engagements, use of cover, positional shooting and carbine rifle deployment considerations.
This course will provide an introduction of practical and performance-based shooting with a rifle. The course will cover topics such as how vision affects our shooting and how much an impact it is, how to obtain a proper connection to the rifle, strength vs. structure, firing hand grip, use of a rifle from various distances and more.
Performance Pistol

Performance Pistol is a fast-paced class that will focus entirely on performance. This class is designed for the person already shooting competitions or beginning to shoot competitions. This is not an entry level class, and this class will focus on preparing students to take the next step in their competition journey. From how to prepare for classifiers, stage planning, movement, and vision, it’ll all be covered in this course. When signing up, please complete the form and list the training and/or experience you have. Someone from our staff will reach out to you directly to review your training and experience information with you.
Ohio Basic Concealed Carry

Our Ohio Basic Concealed Carry course is designed to help students meet and fulfill the requirements to obtain your Ohio CCW permit. Students will receive 6 hours of classroom instruction and 2 hours of on-range, live-fire instruction.
This course will course will cover basic fundamentals of shooting, firearms safety principles, properly storing your firearm and extensive legal considerations.
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to go to their local Sheriff’s Office and apply for their CCW permit.
Performance Pistol for Law Enforcement

This course is designed for the officers who are looking to take the next step in their pistol shooting skills. The course is designed for officers and agency range instructors, who are ready to add a layer of training to their skillset. The course will have a heavy emphasis on vision, movement, transitions and getting away from the static training environment. This course will not include any tactics and will be purely focused on achieving performance with your pistol.
Low-Light Applications

Odds are that you haven’t given much thought to carrying a handheld flashlight, let alone how to properly use it. Our Low-Light Applications course is designed to help students understand how to properly activate, manage, and manipulate their flashlights. Whether it be a handheld flashlight or a weapon mounted flashlight, this course will help you understand the primary purpose of using a flashlight as well as the necessary methods to succeed in a low-light encounter.
MP47 and Defender Series Training Group Joint Course

We're planning on closing out the 2024 outdoor training season with a bang and hope to see you there.

Are you a newer shooter who prefers to learn in a one-on-one environment? Do you want help fine tuning certain skills? Maybe you are struggling with a certain fundamental and want us to help diagnose the problem and fix it with you. Not only will we fix the issue, we will help you diagnose it yourself and provide the solution for the problem. Whatever you need, we have you covered!
Refund Policy:
Refunds will be given to students that cannot make the class, that notify us, and the class is outside of 90 days from the start date. If there is less than 90 days from the start date of the course, students will not be issued a refund. However, the student will be issued a credit towards another class of their choice based on availability up until 2 days of the start date of the course. Inside of 2 days from the start date, no refunds or credits will be given.
